Key Legislation to Watch

Legislation Impacting Ohio’s Rivers

Stay up-to-date with important bills and policies affecting our waterways.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's Division of Surface Water is proposing amendments to Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 3745-39, which governs the Stormwater National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program. These proposed changes aim to update regulations for small municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4s), industries, and construction sites to enhance water quality management across the state. The rules were submitted to the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR) on October 28, 2024, and are currently open for public comment. Learn More
